Welcome to the RJP

The RJP are a one day conference and social events for non-permanent physicists organized by PhD students, members of the Young Commission of the French Physical Society.

The aim of the RJP conference is to offer non-permanent physicists of Ile-de-France a broad overview of current issues in fields as diverse as non-linear optics, cosmology, biophysics, granular media or cold atoms.

The conference is organized on a day with two sessions of oral presentations and a poster session. The diversity of themes addressed invites participants to come together around a common culture in an informal way. Presentations selected by the organizing committee focus on general issues while highlighting the innovative spirit of research undertaken.

After the success of the first six editions, we look forward to meeting you in a stimulating and friendly environment!

Satellite events

  • Satellite event I, Orsay: registration closed.
  • Satellite event II, Paris: register.
  • RJP Conference

You need to register in order to attend the conference. The registration is free and includes the lunch buffet and the drink at the end of the day.

    Calendar

  • Registration deadline: Wednesday 27th November
  • Submission deadline: Monday 11th November
  • Registration and abstract submission

We invite you to register and to submit an abstract (not mandatory) for a 15 minutes oral presentation or a poster on the Indico event page: indico.in2p3.fr/e/RJP2019 (same link for registration and abstract submission).

In its choice of speakers, the committee seeks to enhance both the quality of the research and the clarity of the subject, while trying to cover different fields of physics.

Each oral presentation will last 15 minutes, plus 5 minutes for questions. Particular attention should be paid to the pedagogy and perspective of the subject in a more general context. The subject must remain accessible to a public of physicists who are not specialists in the field.

Presentations can be made in English (prefered) or French. The presentation materials (slides, posters, etc.) must be in English and display the logo of the Doctoral School to which the speaker belongs.
